Division Information
The City Marshals Office performs the law enforcement duties of the Municipal Court. These duties include arresting defendants in warrant status, transporting prisoners being held on Lancaster Class C warrants and serving summons and subpoenas issued by the Municipal Court. The city marshals also provide security support for court operations. City marshals are specially trained in court security techniques to maintain order in the court and ensure the safety of the judge, prosecutor and all courtroom participants.

Mission The City of Lancaster Marshal’s Office shall press forward in working to improve the service of civil processes to those who utilize our services. We will continue to make every effort to keep up with technology, laws, and education to grow as an integral unit with local and state law enforcement agencies. We will remain observant in recognizing the changes and trends that will help keep the citizens of Lancaster safer than ever in a changing environment.
