Erick Alexander
Assistant Chief Alexander started his Law Enforcement Career with the Lancaster Police Department in 2008, after graduating from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Academy. Upon completion of field training he was assigned to the patrol division where he was awarded the Rookie of the Year for 2009. In 2011 he was assigned as an Investigator for the Lancaster Hot Spot Enforcement Team (HEAT) where his primary duties included narcotic and gang investigations. In 2013 he joined the ranks of the Lancaster Criminal Investigations Division as a Detective, investigating property crimes and crimes against persons. In April 2017 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and made the Criminal Investigations Supervisor. In May of 2023 he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and assigned to the Office of Professional Responsibility. Alexander is a graduate of the 126th School of Police Supervision at the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration (ILEA). He is also a graduate of the FBI- Law Enforcement Executive Development Association Command Leadership Institute. Alexander holds an Advanced Peace Officer Certificate and has received the Lancaster Police Department Award for Supervisor of the Year.
