OVERVIEW

The Lancaster Fire Department serves the citizens of Lancaster, and portions of Dallas County, from three fire stations.  The Fire Department conducts numerous fire safety education programs; is responsible for coordinating and conducting training of all department personnel in fire suppression, crash fire rescue, emergency medical treatment, and transportation of the sick and injured to a medical facility for treatment, and; maintaining fire equipment, apparatus and vehicles.

Each Fire Department station consists of modern fire and ambulance vehicles, that include state-of-the-art mobile data computers that provide detailed information and secure communications between emergency units and the communications center.  The Department's main focus is Customer Service, with an emphasis on seeking ways to provide improved service.

BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS
Blood pressure checks are conduted at any Lancaster Fire Station free of charge.

TOURS OF FIRE STATIONS

Citizens wanting to schedule a tour with a group to visit a fire station can do so by contacting Fire Administration at 972-218-2600.

PUBLIC FIRE EDUCATION
Local businessess, schools, and churches can schedule Public Fire Education programs by contacting Fire Administration at 972-218-2600.

CPR & FIRST AID TRAINING
CPR classes are offered to Lancaster residents, businessess owners and people who work within the city.  The classes consist of Infant, Child, and Adult CPR, emergency and choking techniques.  Upon completion, you will be issued a card from the American Heart Association.  For more information, please call Parks & Recreation Center at 972-218-3700 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
