Doing business with the City of Lancaster is absolutely free to all interested parties. The City does use DemandStar by Onvia to maintain the vendor database and electronically disseminate bid packets via the internet. In addition, the City maintains its own vendor database. - Basic Registration with DemandStar is free and allows viewing of available bids with City of Lancaster (and other North Texas entities).
- For Basic (no cost) Registration, call 1-800-331-5337 or use online access www.demandstar.com.
- The City encourages interested vendors to register via basic registration so that your business information is available to the City’s Purchasing Division.
- Vendors interested in doing business with the City of Lancaster are not required to register with this database or pay any fees to DemandStar*.

- Bid packets may be obtained in one of the following four ways:
- Contact the Purchasing Agent and request an electronic copy of the bid packet.
- Pick up, in person or by courier, a hard copy of the bid document from the 211 N. Henry Street address.
- Downloading electronically via DemandStar. The approximate charge if registered via basic registration (all documents included) is $5 per download.
- DemandStar does offer notification services for a subscription fee, however, a vendor is not required to purchase those services to do business with the City or to be added to the vendor database. Please contact DemandStar for more information regarding the basic registration and/or additional notification services.
- Overnight or Courier service – PAID FOR BY RECIPIENT
- Example: FedEx, UPS, CitySprint
