Contemplative Garden
What is the Contemplative Garden?

Just north of the Lancaster Veterans Memorial Library is a lovely paved area being funded by the Friends of the Library.  You can show your support and guarantee a permanent and visible record of your contributions to support the library by purchasing an engraved brick for a loved one or a person to whom you want to pay honor for just $45.00.  The funds from this project will allow the Friends to fund future projects.

Each brick can be engraved with your name or the name of a special person in your life, your spouse or your children, your family name, your business' name, or even the name of your organization.  How about commemorating a special date, birthday, anniversary, graduation, - whatever is important to you and yours.

Bricks for Veterans

A special section is set aside for Veterans.  These bricks should state something about the person's service such as the branch of the military, rank, service years, war(s) in which he/she served.  Please also be sure to check out Honoring Our Veterans page for other ways the library can help you honor your Veterans.

Business/Organizations

There is a special area for these on the east side of the garden area.

Grouping

As much as possible Families are grouped together if we are aware of the relationship.

To purchase your engraved brick please fill out the Engraved Brick Order Form and mail it along with your payment to Marcelene Wright, Treasurer, 750 Lancaster Hutchins, Lancaster, TX 75146.  For more information call Mary Sykes, President at 972-227-4570.  Bricks are added to the garden as quickly as possible.
