About the Assistant City Manager


Carey Neal began his career with the City of Lancaster in July of 2019 as the Assistant to the City Manager. Carey obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and his Masters of Public Administration degree from American Public University. His passion for public service began with an internship with Texas State Representative Yvonne Davis, District 111. Carey has over seven years of Human Resource Management experience with a well known fortune 500 organization.

Carey is a member of several professional organizations such as; the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), Emerging Local Government Leaders (ELGL), National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA), North Texas City Management Association (NTCMA), and an Executive Board Member and Chair of the Special Event Committee for Urban Management Assistants of North Texas (UMANT).
